Duryea police are investigating a burglary and the theft of a handgun from a residence in the 200 block of Swetland Street that was reported on March 8. The victim said she was at work and when she left home around 10:45 a.m. on March 7, her handgun was left in a book bag along with a GPS unit. She stated she returned home later that night about 6:30 p.m. and noticed the book bag was missing.
