Fire tore through a Yates Street double-block home early Monday, killing the former owner of a landmark Kingston restaurant who neighbors remember as a pinnacle of the community. Rosalie McGough, 73, was pronounced dead at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Plains Township after fire broke out at her home at 24 Yates St. about 2:35 a.m. The cause of death was carbon monoxide poisoning, and the manner of death was undetermined pending an investigation by a state fire marshal, according to the Luzerne County Coroner's office.
