The Luzerne County Transportation Authority has received a $1.7 million federal grant that will help the authority transition its fleet to the use of compressed natural gas, or CNG. The grant, through the U.S. Department of Transportation's Bus & Bus Facilities Infrastructure Investment program, will pay for the purchase of four buses that will run on CNG, according to LCTA Executive Director Norm Gavlick.
