The water boil advisory affecting residents on the West Side and in parts of Wilkes-Barre was lifted this morning after acceptable water samples were collected on Friday and Saturday. According to Pennsylvania American Water spokeswoman Susan Turcmanovich, acceptable bacteria test results were obtained from the samples collected and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection authorized the lifting of the precautionary advisory.
