George Spohrer, a founding member of one of the region's most prominent law firms, died Wednesday of natural causes. He was 89. Born and raised in Pittston, Spohrer spent a career as a litigator and was a founding member of the Kingston-based law firm Hourigan, Kluger & Spohrer - now known as Hourigan, Kluger & Quinn - in the early 1950s, according to his son, attorney Jonathan Spohrer.
